FOYO 2026 organizer’s report

Fourth edition of Fountain of Youth happened in Tampere on June 6th 2026.

Drew Tucker was our guest of honour. Here is the man himsef in my mancave. It was great having you my friend!

After a slow night at my place we headed into the city on Thursday for some touring around. Coffee and doughnuts at Pispala tower.

Even more early birds joined us. Tammerkoski channel of rapids splits the city.

Thursday night it was time for the family dinner and some good beer at our regular Belgian place.

And then it was time for some karaoke. Amazing vibes, good times!

Friday begins with a proper brunch at Cafe Pispala.

Friday ended at our traditional garden party, this time hosted by Pasi. As per usual, there was bbq, hot tub, sauna and a lot of full frontal nudity. So, good times, but not a lot of pictures to show. Ah, we also always play the Antti40 World Championship. Here is your new champion.

Saturday was the main event. Swedish b&r. The painting depicting cards from last years finals, gold sealed Battering Rum bottle and the Fountain for the winner. Altered cards for top8. Rum for top8. Drew Tucker original painting as the charity raffle main prize. And more cool stuff..

People hanging at the venue that was actually on an island in the center of the city. All in all, I think the navigation clubhouse was a cool venue.

Our charity bar was once again serving drinks from The Dark.

In the end we crowned a new champion. Congratulations Tommi! Guardian Beast-Robot-Eggs won 2-1 against Mitja on his blue and white.

All things must come to an end. To cap it off, we decided to head out to one of our nerd havens, the Save File, for some more drinks. Thank you everyone, it was awesome! See you next year.
